Smack Attack is a transient shaper that gives you detailed control over the attack and sustain of any track. Unlike traditional transient processors, it lets you emphasize percussive peaks for extra punch, soften them to push instruments back in the mix, or selectively tighten and extend transients. Use it to make snares crack, acoustic guitars sound crisper, or rap vocals hit harder—or tame hand percussion and pull back a bass’s attack to emphasize sustain. A sensitivity control enables selective shaping, while parallel processing, MIDI control, and a limiter/clipper provide advanced options.
