Wavements Rose & Rhodes Free is a sampled Rhodes electric piano library for Steinberg HALion 6, HALion Sonic, and the free HALion Sonic SE 3 instrument. It provides an 88-note electric piano sound for producers who want sampled keys rather than a synth-based approximation. This is a library that runs inside a compatible Steinberg instrument, not a standalone VST plugin.
The sound set combines quick-loading samples with low CPU usage, making it a practical option for hobby producers building arrangements on Windows. Memory use is listed at approximately 87 MB when loaded, while the download size is 109 MB.
Reverb and tremolo provide options for shaping the piano sound, and the early reflection section offers Studio, Hall, and Chamber modes. These controls let you add movement and a sense of space to chord parts, melodies, or accompaniment.
For FL Studio and Ableton Live users, Rose & Rhodes Free is worth considering if you already use a supported HALion instrument or plan to install Sonic SE 3.
