CLA Drums

CLA Drums is a drum processing plugin from Grammy-winning mixer Chris Lord-Alge, designed to give hobby producers detailed, mix-ready drum sounds with minimal effort. It provides separate processing for kick, snare, tom, room, overhead, and cymbal/hat tracks, each with five effects and three modes optimized for that specific drum. Treble and bass EQ add snap and depth or tame harshness and mud, while selectable compression lets you punch up some drums without affecting others. Three reverb modes create ambiance and space, and hard or soft gating delivers classic gated-drum effects. Use it on individual outputs from samplers and drum machines to shape each element, then blend for a cohesive kit. It suits producers working in rock, pop, and electronic genres who want analog-style drum character and control without deep tweaking.
