Aphex Vintage Aural Exciter

The Aphex Vintage Aural Exciter from Waves recreates the legendary 1970s unit that added sparkle and air to recordings without boosting treble or introducing hiss. Instead of EQ, it uses controlled second-harmonic distortion to restore lost high-frequency detail, making vocals, acoustic guitars, and full mixes sound brighter and more exciting. This plugin is ideal for hobby producers who want to add sheen to dull tracks, compensate for weak speakers, or revive older recordings. With two insert modes and a send/return mode, you get three distinct tonal flavors. It suits anyone working on vocals, guitars, or mastering who needs that elusive ‘air’ without harshness. A secret weapon for bringing life and excitement to your music.
