Taped Vibes

Taped Vibes is a free electric piano instrument that reimagines the classic Wurlitzer A200 with a warm, soulful character. Steinberg sampled a studio-used original through three distinct signal paths: a clean DI box, a vintage tape echo, and a retro pre-amp. This gives you a versatile palette ranging from buttery smooth soul and jazzy chords to gritty funk and chilled lo-fi textures. The included selected effects and a random variation function let you quickly shape new sounds, making it ideal for beatmakers and producers exploring neo-soul, hip-hop, or downtempo. It runs in the free HALion Sonic player and works seamlessly in Cubase, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, and other DAWs. Whether you’re sketching a laid-back groove or adding organic keys to a track, Taped Vibes delivers instant vintage flavor without cost.
