Uakara

Uakara is a Kontakt instrument that captures the voice of a rare handmade four-course double-string guitar by luthier Israel Badilla. Its two lowest string pairs are tuned an octave apart, creating a rich, resonant character that sits beautifully between guitar and harp. Performer Daniel Mora tunes the fourth string to C instead of D, opening up fresh fingering possibilities and unusual harmonic colors. With 602 audio files and 4,255 Kontakt samples, plus eight mic options, you get deep, expressive control over a truly one-of-a-kind sound. Ideal for folk, world, ambient, and film-score textures, Uakara suits producers seeking organic, plucked tones that feel intimate and alive. Whether you’re layering arpeggios, crafting delicate melodies, or adding earthy resonance to a mix, this instrument delivers a distinctive voice you won’t find in standard guitar libraries.
