TAPEoPLEX

TAPEoPLEX by Heritage Audio is a native tape delay plugin that meticulously recreates the sound of the most famous vintage tape echo unit, as used by Eddie Van Halen, Brian May, Jimmy Page, and Neil Young. Modeled from an original unit (Serial #34553) using 2025 technology, it delivers everything from soft, clean delays to distorted repeats that can self-oscillate. The plugin functions as a full independent stereo unit, letting you set different echo times for left and right channels or link them, with sync options for tempo or DAW tempo. An additional control adjusts tape freshness, adding color and subtle harmonic distortion. Ideal for guitarists and producers seeking authentic tape warmth and space in genres like rock, pop, and ambient. It suits hobby music producers using FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic on Windows who want legendary tape delay character in their tracks.
