Bit Zone is a virtual instrument that recreates the rare Crumar Bit 99, an Italian six-voice analog polysynth from the 1980s. UVI sampled over 29,000 sounds from the original hardware, capturing its dual DCOs, per-voice analog filters and VCAs, and two LFOs. You get 370+ presets built from 160+ layers, covering arps, bass, bells, brass, keys, leads, pads, strings, and more. Every sample was recorded with and without a Yamaha SPX90 Symphonic chorus, so you can switch on that classic ’80s shimmer. The interface mirrors the hardware’s look and offers deep editing: oscillators, envelopes, multimode filters, LFO, step modulator, dual arpeggiators, and effects like EQ, drive, Thorus, ensemble, phasor, delay, and Sparkverb. Raw waveforms are included for building your own patches. It suits producers chasing vintage analog character or modern retro-flavored textures in pop, electronic, and film music.
