x904

X904 is a gate and expander plugin modeled after a classic 1980s dynamics module, built for precise envelope control and creative rhythmic shaping. Its VCA-based design delivers fast, transparent gating with smooth transitions between open and closed states, preserving natural transients. Use it to clean up drum recordings, remove noise, or add rhythmic precision to performances. Switchable sidechain filtering and an adaptive release mode extend its role beyond traditional gating, making it a flexible sound-shaping tool as well as a surgical noise suppressor. It suits hobby producers working with drums, guitars, and live sound applications who want iconic snappiness and musical envelope control in their mixes. The native plugin runs on Mac or PC without additional hardware.
