FutzVerb by McDSP is a creative multi-effect processor built for sound design and lo-fi experimentation. It combines filtering, distortion, sub-octave generation, device simulation, and a flexible reverb engine that goes far beyond ordinary spaces—from closets and clubs to sci-fi abysses. Using Synthetic Impulse Models (SIMs), it delivers convolution-style realism with low CPU load, and SIMs can be scaled or swapped in real time. A Lo-Fi section can be placed before, after, or inside the reverb algorithm for bit-crushed, fax-machine textures. The sub-octave generator adds weight with signals one and two octaves below the source. A post-reverb dynamics section lets you gate or duck the reverb based on the dry input, keeping mixes clean. With Chop, Wobble, and saturation modes inherited from FutzBox, FutzVerb suits producers crafting distorted, atmospheric, or destroyed sounds in electronic, hip-hop, and experimental music.
