PNCH

PNCH by UnplugRed is a creative gate and harmonic enhancer that works differently from standard gates and expanders. Instead of relying on an envelope follower, it gates your audio without pumping, while adding fresh harmonics that can make clean signals sound richer and more aggressive. On already-distorted sources like electric guitar, the added harmonics may be subtle or even harsh, but that’s exactly why PNCH shines before heavy distortion—it removes hum and noise from a direct guitar signal without introducing pumping artifacts. It also excels on drum loops, producing a choppy, rhythmic effect that’s great for electronic and experimental productions. Whether you’re cleaning up DI tracks or adding character to beats, PNCH offers a unique alternative to conventional gating. Ideal for producers looking for a transparent gate with a touch of harmonic color.
