WaveLab Elements 13 is Steinberg’s streamlined mastering environment for producers who want polished, release-ready audio without a steep learning curve. It centers on two dedicated workspaces: the Audio Editor for surgical, sample-level work on individual files, and the Audio Montage for assembling and finalizing full albums. You get a broad set of real-time effects and processes that can be applied per clip, per track, or across an entire project, plus support for third-party VST 3 plug-ins and external hardware via round-trip routing. Precision tools include level, time and pitch editing, spectral editing, mid/side processing, and loudness metering with audio analysis. Metadata editing helps masters meet the requirements of streaming platforms and other distribution formats. This version also introduces the MasterRig 2 mastering suite, a dynamic clip toolbar, drag-and-drop plug-in removal, quick clip gain adjustment, and color management. It suits hobby producers and small studios finishing tracks in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic.
