Weiss DS5 Multiband Compressor

The Weiss DS5 Multiband Compressor by Softube is a five-band mastering-grade dynamics processor built on a line-by-line code port of the legendary Weiss DS1. Each band delivers the same award-winning compression as the original, giving you precise control over specific frequency ranges. Use it on mix busses, vocals, drums, or full masters where transparency is critical. Macro controls and artist presets from Bob Katz, Jonathan Wyner, Maor Appelbaum, and Philippe Weiss make it easy to dial in results, while the DS1 button opens each band for deep tweaking. Three filter modes—Dynamic Phase, Static Phase, and Linear Phase—plus a safety limiter keep latency low and artifacts minimal. It suits hobby producers and engineers who want world-class Weiss transparency in a flexible multiband format.
