Collective 2 is a sample-based instrument plugin from Tracktion that pairs a large factory library with genuine synthesis tools, so you can start from a ready-made sound or build one from scratch. Its 928 presets span acoustic instruments, world textures and hard-hitting electronic tones, with contributions from Klaus Peter Rausch and sound designer Miclop, plus the Platforms and Beta Maxed expansions. Under the hood you get sample playback layered with virtual analog oscillators, a 4-operator FM module, filters, LFOs, envelopes and built-in effects, letting you blend real-world recordings with synthesized character. A redesigned interface keeps browsing and editing quick, and you can load your own samples to make sounds that are entirely yours.
