Analog Obsession LOADES v2.0 is a free de-esser for controlling vocal sibilance and softening abrasive high frequencies. It suits home producers who need to manage sharp consonants, take the edge off cymbals, or tame an overly bright full mix without relying on static EQ cuts.

The threshold control spans 60 dB, while the release ranges from 1 to 500 ms, letting you choose between fast recovery and more gradual processing. Use MIX to blend the treated signal with the original, keeping some of the untreated character when full-strength de-essing feels excessive. Separate input and output controls provide up to 30 dB of gain adjustment in either direction.

BAND switches the processing from a shelf to a band response, and SOFT offers a gentler option for smoother results. The interface scales from 50% to 200%; saving a default preset in your DAW can preserve your preferred size for new instances.

On Windows 10–11, LOADES supports VST3 and AAX, with an OpenGL-capable graphics card required. It is suitable for compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live. No oversampling is included.
