DrumX

DrumX is a groove-focused drum machine plugin created by EastWest Sounds in collaboration with legendary producer Jimmy Jam. It brings together ten classic drum machines — including the TR-808, TR-909, LinnDrum, DMX, and SP-12 — alongside exclusive custom samples from Jimmy Jam himself. A 16-pad layout with per-pad controls and a step sequencer lets you shape, layer, and program beats with precision. The Pad Inspector offers machine-specific parameters, while a tape saturation knob and professional effects chain add character and polish. Hundreds of curated grooves from Jimmy Jam provide instant starting points that already feel great, so you can build your own ideas from there. Whether you produce hip-hop, R&B, pop, or electronic music, DrumX suits hobbyists and professionals who want authentic drum-machine sounds and ready-to-use grooves with deep sound-design potential.
