Zrythm is a digital audio workstation for composing, arranging and mixing music on Windows. Rather than an effect or instrument loaded inside FL Studio or Ableton Live, it provides a separate production environment for hobby producers who want detailed MIDI editing, flexible routing and extensive automation.
Its editing tools cover moving, trimming, duplicating, splitting and looping regions, with adaptive snapping to help position material. Track lanes let you layer parts within a track, while audio bouncing and audio/MIDI import and export support arrangement work.
For writing harmonies, the chord pad generates chords from scales and lets you audition inversions or store custom presets. A dedicated chord track manages progressions, with piano-roll highlighting to guide note choices.
Automation can use lines, ramps, curves, LFOs and envelopes. Mixing options include FX tracks, MIDI effects, inserts, pre- and post-fader sends, and flexible signal routing. Zrythm also supports multiple plugin formats, including VST2, VST3, LV2 and CLAP, alongside SFZ and SF2 soundfonts and plugin sandboxing through Carla.
