Underwater 2 by Thenatan Audio is a complete rebuild of the original 2020 plugin, preserving the smooth, mellow, drowned ’40/Drake’ Toronto tone that made it a staple. This all-in-one effect lets you dial in that submerged sound with a few tweaks: turn up the Filter knob until the water rises, choose from eight filter slopes (12 to 96 dB per octave), and adjust Redux for lo-fi bit and sample rate reduction plus Drive for distortion up to 36 dB. A low-cut switch removes everything below 80 Hz. The vector interface loads instantly, scales to any size, and features reactive animations—the river follows the filter, eyes close with audio, tears track input levels—so you always see what’s happening. With automation support and tooltips, it’s ideal for hobby producers in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic seeking that signature underwater vocal or instrument effect without stacking multiple plugins.
