Guitarist is a virtual electric guitar instrument built around a sequencer rather than a sampled performance. Instead of strumming a keyboard, you program chord shapes and fingering patterns, then shape how they’re played using controls for strum timing, slides, vibrato and portamento. Four electric guitars are included, each supported by a large sample library (over 2,000 samples per instrument), plus a warm amp section and a direct-out option for cleaner tones. Ten effects, a wah pedal and a talk mode round out the sound-shaping side, and you can mute or de-tune individual strings for realistic nuance. An action section lets you steer these elements in real time, which suits producers building rhythm guitar parts for rock, pop or electronic tracks without recording a player. The 1.1.1 update fixes a loop-length bar issue and adds an acoustic guitar library. It runs as a plugin on Windows and macOS inside FL Studio, Ableton or Logic, making it a practical fit for hobby producers who want programmed guitar parts that sound performed.
