SK Rust is a lo-fi coloration plugin that intentionally makes clean audio sound degraded, dusty, and worn. It combines multi-stage saturation and harmonic grit with tonal shaping voiced for degraded textures, plus fractal instability and wobble for subtle pitch and timing drift. A noise, dust, and hiss layer adds background atmosphere, while combined atmosphere/veil processing thickens and blurs the signal. Input and output gain staging is linked, and stereo VU metering helps you monitor levels. Processing runs at 2× oversampling, and the plugin is available as VST3 for Windows and macOS, plus Audio Unit for macOS, with support for both Intel and Apple Silicon.
