bigcat Instruments – Sonatina Timpani Win OSX VST AU x64 x32 [ FREE ]

Sonatina Timpani is a free sampled timpani instrument for Windows and Mac, available as VST and AU in both 64-bit and 32-bit versions. It is built from the public domain Sonatina Orchestra library, giving you a ready-to-play orchestral timpani sound without any cost. The plugin is lightweight, around 15 MB, so it loads quickly and won’t strain your system. It works inside your DAW and is suited to hobby producers who need realistic timpani hits for film scores, game music, orchestral mockups, or any track that calls for deep, resonant percussion. Because it is sample-based, you get the natural tone of a real timpani rather than a synthesized imitation. There are no extra features beyond the sampled instrument itself, so it is best for anyone who wants a simple, no-frills timpani that just works. It runs on both Windows and Mac, making it accessible across common setups, and the small download size means you can add it to your collection without worrying about storage. Ideal for beginners and intermediate users looking to expand their orchestral palette.
