Picking Fingers is a free bass processing plugin that changes the playing character of a recorded bass between fingerstyle and pick. Built from matched recordings of real bass performances played both ways, it uses precision voicing filters to alter tone and attack while keeping the low end intact. The Voice control lets you choose FINGERS (to make a picked DI sound fingerstyle) or PICK (to make a fingerstyle DI sound picked). Attack shapes the measured per-note response, and Bite adds gritty definition to the front of each note without affecting sustained tones. A ±6 dB Tone control provides gentle tonal tilt, and input/output trims make level matching easy. With zero-latency processing and mono or stereo operation, it works while tracking or mixing. It suits hobby producers and bassists using FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic on Windows or Mac who want to quickly switch a bass part’s playing style without re-recording. Available in VST3, AU, LV2, and AAX formats for WiN, MAC, and LINUX.
