Proton MultiFX is a VST plugin for guitar-style multi-effects processing that lets you build unusual textures and atmospheres. It bundles granular, flanger, drive, delay, chorus, reverb, reverse, freeze and modulated filter modules, so you can stack them into anything from lush ambient washes to chaotic distorted soundscapes. The interface is designed for quick tweaking, with an intuitive modulation system and a preset library of more than 75 sounds from working producers. If you want something new, a single randomize button reshuffles the DSP modules to generate fresh effects. The processing is modeled after well-known hardware pedals, aiming for warm analog filters, long delays, frozen reversed atmospheres and grainy reverbs.
