ElectroNylon is a hybrid virtual instrument that blends a nylon guitar with a vintage electric piano through real-time spectral transformation. Built by Sampleson for their Luthier Series, it uses spectral models captured from a real nylon guitar and two electric pianos (reed and tine-based) to create a sound that sits anywhere between the two. A single slider lets you morph from nylon guitar to electric piano in real time, with no extra CPU load. The instrument includes finger noises, slides, and other performance details from the guitar, plus ambient, chorus, drive, and reverb effects. It has a scalable HD interface, requires no third-party player like Kontakt or UVI, and works as VST, AU, or standalone on Windows and Mac. With no velocity switching and a small 35MB footprint, ElectroNylon is aimed at hobby producers and composers looking for a unique, expressive instrument for pop, lo-fi, film, and electronic music. It loads into major DAWs including FL Studio, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, and Reaper.
