Dubb Box is a free 32-bit Windows VST plugin that recreates the behaviour of a classic tape echo unit. Modelled on the Roland Space Echo, it aims to capture the warm saturation, slight unpredictability and runaway self-oscillation that make tape delays feel alive. The design includes a main echo plus separate sub-echoes tied to a second tapehead, so you can build layered repeats rather than a single flat delay line. A dedicated vintageness control lets you dial in tape hiss, motor inertia and the age of both tape and motor, from subtle colouration to worn-out wobble. It is a straightforward tool for hobby producers working in FL Studio, Ableton or Logic who want an inexpensive way to add dub-style echoes, lo-fi texture and organic movement to guitars, keys, drums or vocals. Because it is 32-bit only, check your DAW’s bit bridge before installing. No extra features beyond the source are claimed here.
