Analog Obsession N492ME is a free four-band mastering EQ for producers who want separate control over stereo channels or the mid and side components of a mix. Its dual-mono, stereo and mid/side operation makes it useful for hobby musicians refining finished tracks or adjusting tonal balance on a mix bus.
The low shelf covers 50–400 Hz, while the high shelf spans 3–10 kHz. Two middle bands handle 600–1000 Hz and 1–7.5 kHz, with each of the four bands offering up to 15 dB of boost or cut. A high-pass filter provides 20, 80 and 140 Hz settings for reducing unwanted low-frequency content.
Channel linking lets you make coordinated adjustments, while independent left/right or mid/side output controls support separate level changes. The lower control section becomes inactive when left/right linking is enabled. Master and individual channel bypass switches let you compare processed and unprocessed signals.
Version 6.3 adds touchscreen support and fixes parameter linking alongside minor bugs. The Windows edition is available in VST and VST3 formats, making it suitable for compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.
