Audio Damage Phosphor 3 is an additive synthesizer plugin inspired by the alphaSyntauri, an early-1980s digital instrument. It suits producers and sound designers who want vintage digital textures alongside flexible modulation and expressive performance controls.

Its two matching voice sections each contain an additive wavetable oscillator, a noise source, an amplitude envelope and a delay line. Shape tones with 16 partials, choose low-resolution operation for a rougher vintage character, or switch to high resolution for a cleaner sound. Oscillator cross-modulation opens up FM-style timbres beyond the original instrument’s palette.

Two LFOs provide multiple waveforms, random modulation and adjustable skew, with global or per-note operation. The modulation routing panel lets you assign LFOs, MIDI/MPE controls and randomized offsets to develop evolving patches. MPE support adds expressive control when used with a compatible controller, while TUN-file loading lets you explore alternative tuning systems.
