Pianoteq Pro is a physically modeled virtual instrument that generates piano and other instrument sounds in real time, giving you a responsive and expressive playing feel without relying on samples. Version 9 refines the soundboard vibration model for a deeper, more three-dimensional stereo image, and adds a Baroque-era Triple Harp alongside improved string plucking for the Concert and Celtic Harps. The MKII and Vintage Reeds have been updated for more dynamic response and a richer fortissimo, and new presets include Sombre for cinematic depth and Felt for vintage character. You can position up to eight virtual microphones around the instrument and manage stereo or multichannel output through the updated mixer. The Pro edition lets you customize up to 30 physical parameters per note and supports internal sample rates up to 192 kHz. It runs as a standalone application on Windows, making it suitable for hobby producers and composers who want realistic, adjustable piano tones in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic workflows.
