DrGate is a drum-focused gate plugin that gives you precise control over your transients and tails. The GATE knob sets the threshold, while HOLD goes beyond a standard hold by adding program-dependent release from 10ms to 1000ms, so you can shape how long the gate stays open. FILTER works in reverse: it’s a low-pass filter starting at 5Hz and moving up to 500Hz, letting you blend the filtered (removed) signal back in to smooth the gated result.
