Analog Obsession FrankCS is a free analog-style EQ and compressor plugin for producers who want tone shaping, preamp coloration and dynamics control in one effect. It suits hobby musicians mixing in FL Studio or Ableton Live on Windows, with VST and VST3 support. Mac versions also include AU for Logic users.
The equalizer combines bands drawn from four module styles, with adjustable frequencies throughout. You get a 20–800 Hz low-cut filter, low-frequency boost and attenuation from 20–100 Hz, a mid band covering 75 Hz–12.5 kHz, a 3–15 kHz high shelf and high-frequency attenuation from 5–20 kHz. These controls let you address low-end buildup, reshape midrange balance and adjust brightness.
Two selectable preamps offer solid-state or tube character with compensated gain. The compressor also provides solid-state and tube detection options, plus three attack settings, three release settings and ratios ranging from 1.5:1 to limiting. EQ and compression have separate bypass buttons, making it easier to compare each section’s contribution. Oversampling is available through the ANALOG OBSESSION label.
