Fractal Audio Systems Cab-Lab 4 is a free cabinet impulse response mixer for guitarists and producers who want more control over recorded amp tones. Available as a standalone application and a plugin for compatible DAWs, it lets you combine up to four IR channels, adjust EQ, and align responses while monitoring the result in real time.

With supported DynaCab packs, you can shape cabinet tone by changing virtual microphone positions and distances rather than auditioning long lists of fixed IR files. The system offers 360-degree placement, giving you a practical way to explore different mic perspectives and blends. Cab-Lab 4 also works with traditional single IRs from Fractal Audio’s older cabinet collections and third-party makers.

Use the plugin to apply cabinet processing to raw amp recordings, or export your IR mixes for Fractal Audio hardware. The standalone version supports monitoring through an Axe-Fx III, FM9, FM3, or another audio interface.
