capella-software Capella 8.0.11.1

capella 8.0.11.1 is Windows music notation software for writing, editing and printing complete scores. It suits hobby composers, arrangers and musicians who want to put musical ideas on the page, with accessible controls for beginners and detailed layout options for more experienced users. Its focus is score preparation rather than audio processing inside a DAW.

A context-sensitive editing panel keeps relevant tools close at hand. The interactive SystemTemplate lets you shape the score’s structure by adjusting staff spacing, brackets and barlines with the mouse, entering names directly and choosing sounds from a list. Graphic symbols can be resized, stretched and positioned above or beneath the notation, including page-wide watermarks.

For checking arrangements by ear, capella-tune playback reflects trills, dynamic changes and swing or waltz rhythms. SoundFont support lets you choose playback sounds without relying on your sound card’s built-in MIDI tones. You can also search for downloadable scores and upload your own through the integrated Musicalion connection. This version lists support for Windows 7, 8/8.1 and 10.
