NoiseWorks Multilay is a creative delay effect for Windows producers who want to shape echoes around different parts of a sound. It suits hobby musicians and sound designers looking for rhythmic variations, layered ambience, or more detailed control over delay tails.

Choose frequency splitting to process up to three bands independently, each with its own delay engine, ducking control, and effects chain inside the feedback loop. Alternatively, separate transients from sustain to add repeats to sharp attacks or turn longer notes into smooth textures.

Build custom chains before, within, or after the feedback loop using six modules: EQ, saturation, chorus, phaser, stereo processing, and wow/flutter. Drag-and-drop editing lets you rearrange, mute, or remove modules. Placing EQ inside the loop also lets you shape how different frequencies decay.

Multilay’s RT60 feedback control sets the target tail length in seconds, keeping decay duration consistent when delay timing changes. Individual band ducking helps manage overlapping signals, while Follow mode reduces delay when no input is present. Separate dry/wet gains, Insert and Send modes, and a preset mix lock provide practical routing and browsing controls.
