Retrologue 2 is a virtual analog synthesizer plugin for Windows that recreates the warm, thick character of classic hardware polysynths while keeping CPU usage low. It suits hobby producers working in FL Studio, Ableton or Logic who want flexible analog-style tones without a heavy system load. The engine offers three oscillators with up to eight detunable voices, plus sub and noise oscillators, feeding into 24 filter types. Sound design is handled through four LFOs, filter, amp and custom envelopes, and a 16-slot drag-and-drop modulation matrix with Note Expression support. A 32-step arpeggiator includes an export-to-host function for turning patterns into MIDI clips. The FX rack covers delay, chorus, flanger, phaser, vintage ensemble, reverb and a four-band EQ, alongside a three-band resonator and five distortion modes such as tube, clip, bit and rate reduction. Around 700 presets span basses, leads, pads and arpeggiated patterns, making it a practical starting point for electronic and pop production.
