TAL-BassLine-101 is an SH-101-style synthesizer for producers who want analogue-inspired basslines, leads and sequenced patterns. Its straightforward interface suits hobby musicians learning synthesis as well as experienced users looking for hands-on sound design.

Rather than playing samples, the oscillators generate waveforms in real time. A self-resonating 24 dB low-pass filter shapes the tone, with modelling designed to keep high-resonance settings and upper-register notes smooth. Filter FM adds another sound-design route by letting an oscillator waveform modulate the cutoff. Carefully modelled envelope transitions and a choice of original RC or linear portamento help shape overlapping notes and slides.

For pattern writing, there is a syncable arpeggiator and a recordable step sequencer with up to 96 steps. You can drag sequencer MIDI into your project for further editing. Although focused on monophonic synthesis, the plugin also includes a six-voice polyphonic mode. More than 300 presets provide starting points, while MIDI learn, parameter automation and microtuning support offer deeper control.
