Plugin Alliance AMEK EQ 250 is a five-band parametric EQ for producers and engineers who want detailed tonal control when mixing or mastering. Inspired by Dirk Ulrich’s Sontec MEP 250ex hardware, it brings an analog-style equalization approach to a Windows DAW, with an emphasis on smooth high frequencies and a firm, defined low end.
Its continuously variable controls let you shape the response without being limited to fixed switch positions. Use it to refine bass weight, adjust midrange balance, or add treble presence across individual tracks, buses, and full mixes. Auto Listen is available for all five bands to help you hear the area you are adjusting.
A retractable Extra Unit panel extends the hardware-inspired design with Tolerance Modeling Technology, mid/side processing, Mono-Maker, Stereo Width, and THD controls. These additions make it useful for producers who want tonal shaping and stereo adjustments in one plugin. The Windows version supports 64-bit VST2, VST3, and AAX formats, making it suitable for compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.
