Analog Obsession PEDALz v2.0 is a free drive effect that brings five pedal-inspired models into one plugin. It suits hobby producers who want a choice of overdrive, boost and fuzz textures without loading separate effects for each style.

The models cover distinct drive flavours: DODOD offers 250-style overdrive and boosting, GUNNER follows the Guv’nor approach, and OVERDIVER draws on SD1-style overdrive. For fuzz duties, PIGPIE takes the Big Muff route, while ZUPAA delivers a Supa Fuzz-inspired option.

A pre-tone control shapes the incoming signal before it reaches the drive circuit. Two-band tone adjustment, Drive and Output controls let you refine the distortion character and final level. PEDALz does not include oversampling.

The interface scales from 50% to 200% using a corner handle. Saving a resized instance as your DAW’s default preset lets new instances open at your preferred size. Version 2.0 adds this resizing feature alongside AAX support. On Windows 10–11, PEDALz is available in VST3 and AAX formats and requires OpenGL-compatible graphics, making VST3 the relevant choice for FL Studio and Ableton Live.
