Wolfgang Palm Plex v2.0.4 is a free Windows VST2 synthesizer for producers who want to build new tones by recombining parts of existing sounds. Its restructuring synthesis separates analyzed audio into four elements: low-frequency content, high-frequency content, filter character and amplitude envelope. You can exchange these elements to create hybrid patches that retain qualities of their original sources.

Plex supports real-time component swapping across 33 sound sources and includes 97 specially pre-analyzed sources for patch creation. Three ADSR envelopes, three tempo-syncable LFOs and a global pitch LFO provide control over movement and articulation. Stereo delay and flanger effects add space and modulation, while up to 64 voices support layered chords and sustained passages. The included 300 presets offer starting points, and every parameter can be accessed through MIDI controllers.

Developed by Wolfgang Palm, Plex 2 suits hobby producers and sound designers looking beyond conventional synth programming. This version includes 64-bit VST2 support for compatible Windows hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live. It is not available for macOS and does not run in Logic Pro.
