(un)familiar. spectralsand is a spectral delay effect for producers who want to reshape audio into shifting textures, unusual echoes and spacious soundscapes. Rather than repeating the entire signal at once, it splits incoming audio into frequency bins and applies different delay times across them. The result can move well beyond a conventional delay, changing the character of the original sound.

A central graph determines the delay pattern. Populate it with oscillator shapes or white noise, then adjust oscillator frequency and invert shapes to explore different responses. Bin settings range from 128 to 2048, giving you control over how finely the spectrum is divided. Separate left/right timing offsets create wide stereo effects, while feedback builds increasingly complex repeats. A panic button provides a quick way to stop runaway feedback, and the mix control balances processed and dry audio.

The full version adds hand-drawn oscillator shapes, audio-driven sidechain patterns with boost, randomization and customizable themes. It suits hobby producers and experimental sound designers working on ambient layers, electronic effects or heavily transformed loops.
