Camel Audio CamelPhat is a multi-effect plugin for adding weight, grit and movement to drums, bass and guitar. It suits home producers who want to shape tone and dynamics in one place, whether a track needs gentle warmth or more aggressive distortion.
Four distortion modules can run individually or be blended for different textures. Magic EQ focuses on low-end enhancement, making it useful for giving kicks extra body, while an analogue-modelled compressor helps control dynamics. Three resonant filters provide further tonal shaping, with two LFOs and an envelope follower available for modulation.
For hands-on changes, the X/Y pad lets you adjust key parameters together, including LFO depth and speed. An intelligent Randomize function offers a starting point when you want to explore unfamiliar settings. More than 300 categorised presets make it easier to find an initial sound before fine-tuning it to your mix.
