Kazrog AmpCraft 1992 is a guitar amp simulation plugin built around an American “block letter” high-gain tube amplifier. It suits guitarists and home producers recording metal, hard rock, or cleaner styles, with a responsive lead channel and a clean/crunch channel offering more headroom than the original hardware.
Shape the signal before the amp with four overdrive models: 808 for smoother drive and attack shaping, 66 for EQ and boost duties, Stockholm for Swedish death-metal-style buzzsaw distortion, and Djrive for adjustable picking response across different tunings. A G8 noise gate helps control unwanted noise between phrases.
The dual-channel cabinet IR loader includes four Recabinet cabinet packs, each with eight microphone models. Blend two cabinet responses, adjust the four-band EQ and speaker dynamics, or use phase reversal and short delay adjustments to help align different IRs. Stereo instances also provide panning controls. Oversampling is available up to 32x.
On Windows, AmpCraft 1992 supports 64-bit VST2, VST3, and AAX hosts, making it suitable for guitar production in FL Studio, Ableton Live, and other compatible DAWs.
