SSA Plugins aXPlugins Suite a7 is an Ambisonics processing collection for producers, sound designers and audio engineers building spatial and immersive mixes. It covers the path from positioning sounds in a three-dimensional scene to processing and monitoring the resulting multichannel audio.
The suite includes panning and encoding tools that turn mono or stereo sources into Ambisonic B-format, plus effects designed to work with that format without compromising its spatial information. Delay, EQ, compression, noise gating and de-essing let you shape tone and dynamics within an immersive workflow rather than relying solely on conventional stereo processing.
For listening, the aXMonitor tools provide binaural decoding, translating Ambisonic signals into headphone playback using head-related transfer functions. This helps you monitor a spatial scene without needing a surrounding loudspeaker array. Higher-order Ambisonics support offers greater spatial resolution for projects that need more detailed positioning.
Available for Windows in VST3 and AAX formats, this suite suits users exploring immersive production as well as experienced spatial mixers. Check your host’s multichannel routing capabilities before choosing it for an Ambisonics workflow.
