Darkstar

Darkstar by Minimal System Group is a Windows-only analogue-modelled synth for producers who want hands-on sound design without heavy CPU demands. Its four oscillators are arranged in two pairs, with sine, triangle, saw, square and noise waveforms offering starting points for basses, leads, pads and textured electronic sounds. Each oscillator pair has its own ADSR envelope and dedicated filter bank, so you can shape two layers independently. Low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-reject and peak filters provide further tonal control, supported by filter envelopes and LFO modulation. The Space Generator, Echo Box and Driver modules add more options to explore as you build a patch. With 20 presets included, Darkstar suits hobby producers looking for an approachable subtractive-style instrument, whether they prefer tweaking ready-made sounds or creating their own from the oscillators up.
