Toy Piano

AudioThing Toy Piano brings the intimate character of a two-octave upright toy piano to your productions. Its metal bars and plastic hammers create a chiming tone reminiscent of a glockenspiel, but with a deeper, warmer body. Open- and closed-lid recordings offer two distinct starting points for playful melodies, delicate hooks and nostalgic arrangements. Beyond the keys, wood-case percussion played with hands, nylon brushes and rubber mallets adds tactile rhythmic textures. Sound-designed ambient, pad and drone instruments extend the library into atmospheric territory, with tweakable controls for shaping the results. The collection includes 10 Kontakt instruments, six multis, three round-robin samples per key and six random release samples. Suited to hobby producers and composers seeking an alternative to a conventional piano, this software instrument requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt; MachFive and WAV formats are also listed.
