AudioThing Pipes turns everyday hollow objects into an unusual Kontakt instrument collection. Built from cardboard tubes, aluminium cans, dreamcatchers and PVC pipes, it offers distinctive sampled tones for producers looking beyond conventional keyboards and percussion. Every instrument is manually tuned, bringing pitched playability to sources whose natural tuning can be unstable. A standout is the Wah Wah Tube, also known as a Vibratone, with its bell-like character, long release and dedicated overtone control. Use Pipes for quirky melodic parts, atmospheric accents or experimental textures. The library includes 34 Kontakt instruments, six ready-to-play Multis and sound-designed patches based on the original recordings. Three to six round-robin samples per instrument and up to three velocity layers add variation to repeated notes. Supplied in Kontakt and WAV formats, Pipes requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt.
