Wood

AudioThing Wood turns the knocks, clacks and resonances of wooden objects into a playable Kontakt sample library. Recorded sticks, claves, boards, castanets, bowls and drums provide the raw material for tuned and untuned percussion, drum kits, textural sounds and unusual effects. Its organic character suits producers looking to add tactile rhythms, distinctive accents or atmospheric layers to their tracks. The library includes 17 Kontakt instruments and four multis, built from 278 stereo samples recorded at 44.1 kHz/24-bit. Up to three round robins and three velocity layers bring variation to repeated notes and dynamic playing. Saturation, Rotator, Delay and Reverb controls are available directly from the custom performance view for further shaping. Supplied in Kontakt and WAV formats, Wood is a useful choice for beatmakers and sound designers exploring acoustic source material. The Kontakt instruments require the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt.
