Hypercyclic by Mucoder turns held MIDI chords into shifting arpeggios, gated patterns and syncopated sequences. Rather than shaping audio directly, this LFO-driven MIDI arpeggiator generates notes you can record or route to another instrument, making it useful for animated synth parts, restless chord patterns and glitchy rhythmic ideas. Two tempo-synced LFOs modulate parameters to introduce variation while keeping the results aligned with beat or bar boundaries. Modulating the sequencer’s step size creates stuttering movement, while the groove controls push notes slightly off the beat for a looser feel. Those groove settings can also change under LFO control, adding further rhythmic variation. A simple onboard synth lets you audition patterns before sending them elsewhere.
