Devastor 2 by D16 Group is a multiband distortion effect for shaping everything from subtle warmth to aggressive synth grit. Its signal path combines a dynamics flattener, diode clipping, three multimode filters and an optional limiter. Nine routing configurations let you place filtering before, after or alongside the distortion, opening up a broad range of tonal textures. Unlike conventional EQ-based multiband designs, its synth-style filters offer low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and band-reject modes with adjustable cutoff and resonance. Use it to push acid basslines, add guitar fuzz or give drum loops a dirtier edge. Gentler settings can also bring warmth and detail to softer material without obvious distortion. Antialiasing processing helps keep the results warm and musical. It suits producers who want flexible sound design and characterful saturation without an overly complicated workflow.
