BitRate II & Monoboy

Heavyocity BitRate II & Monoboy pairs retro digital drums with a melodic companion for producers drawn to chiptune, lo-fi beats and glitchy electronic textures. Created by Icebreaker Audio, BitRate II combines chipsounds, FM synthesis, low-fidelity sampling and circuit-bent character in a drum instrument with a five-track mixer. Trigger patterns via MIDI or use the internal sequencer, with two modulation sequences per drum for shifting timbres and animated rhythms. An analogue-modelled EQ, bus compressor and speaker simulator shape the master output. MonoBoy brings related synthesis techniques to melodic playing, adding an arpeggiator, voice controls, two modulation sequences and a master effects section featuring Bit Delay. With 140 preset snapshots, the bundle suits hobby producers looking for nostalgic digital sounds with room to experiment. It requires the full version of Reaktor 5.9.0 or later.
