Softube Transient Shaper is a dual-band transient processing effect for shaping how sounds hit and how long they linger. Its Punch and Sustain controls can each target the full frequency range, the highs, or the lows, letting you adjust attack and decay without reshaping the entire signal. Bring out cymbal tails on drum overheads while keeping tom resonance in check, tighten electronic drums, or soften sharp attacks for a rounder character. Beyond percussion, it can add high-frequency definition to vocals or reshape the feel of piano, bass, and guitar parts. A selectable crossover sets the frequency split, Fast and Slow Punch modes offer different attack responses, and the Clip section adds output distortion.
